WEEK 24 HIGHLIGHTS...AGAIN

Saturday (5/31/14)
Well we had a little set back yesterday, but today was a new day and it was for the most part pretty good. I woke up to the boys calling me to Face Time. Apparently they had a rough night and were up around 6am. They looked happy when I talked with them and were enjoying the fire. I never got to see pictures, but Dave took some so I'm sure I'll see them eventually. The rest of the day passed and I have to say it was pretty boring! I tried to keep busy and made some lists for Dave, looked up some job stuff, read, watched TV and took two short naps. Dave went shopping for me and when they came to visit he brought tons of cool stuff! He found some really awesome window clings that are geared towards learning (colors, numbers, ABC's, shapes, and fun ones), snacks, my new kindle (thanks Misty!), the boys' portable DVD players, and my special surprise that Misty sent me (a Pajama Gram). He also brought our little guys first gift, a cute outfit from Danielle (a cousin). It was so thoughtful of her to send that! Dave was exhausted from the week and the camping trip. They stayed for a couple of hours and Dave brought a pizza for dinner. I ordered salmon because Dave wanted me to try everything on the menu and I figured since he is here he could have it. I tried one bite and didn't like it, way too "fishy" for me. Lincoln loved it! He pretty much ate the whole thing and of course Oliver ate the broccoli. We also had the pizza and shared a strawberry cheesecake for dessert. I love how Oliver says "bah-beh-bee" and how Lincoln used to say "da-bu-dies". After dessert they went home to sleep and I played on my kindle, watched some shows and had two more baby monitorings before going to sleep. I always seem to fall asleep on my last one, but it's around 11pm so I'm usually done for the day by then. Oh I finished my antibiotics today...woohoo!

Sunday (6/1/14)
Today was a good day! Nothing major happened, it was just a good day. They brought the sacrament by in the morning and left a spiritual thought. I guess that's the good thing about being in Provo...haha.  I took a nap before the boys got here. Dave let me know that he wanted to take me for a walk outside today. When they got here he had a pitcher full of fruit smoothie and it was delicious! We ate dinner and then we went on a wheel chair ride. Lincoln walked/helped push and Oliver got to ride on my lap. We hung outside for about 20 minutes and I watched the boys play while talking with Dave. It was a beautiful day to be outside. We went back to the room and hung out some more before they had to leave. It was a really good visit. After they left I enjoyed some TV and then went to sleep.

Monday (6/2/14)
Last night was pretty horrible! For some reason I woke up every 1-2 hours and  my neck was super sore. I think it was a pretty productive day today. I made some foam letter cutouts for the boys name so Lincoln could practice spelling his name and of course some for Oliver so he didn't feel left out. I also make a pom-pom color sorting box so the boys could practice their colors. I also put together a fun and simple FHE for later in the evening.

Dave called me to tell me some exciting news...the mail lady hit the mailbox at home and totally demolished it! I saw a picture later and it was really bad!! Fun story to hear while I lay here in the hospital. It's always nice to know what is going on in the real world. The boys came to see me after dinner and Lincoln walks in and finds the fruit I saved him. He grabs it and sits on the couch to enjoy and Oliver joins him. We had family home evening and talked about good thoughts and bad thoughts and how Heavenly Father wants us to have nice thoughts. I drew a face on a piece of paper and taped it to a cup and then I had strips of paper with different thoughts on them. I read them and let the boys either put them in the cup (our mind) or in the garbage. They loved it!

I pulled out the things I made for the boys and they loved playing with them both! While playing with the little pom-pom balls Lincoln says, "we have to say the colors and then put them in". He's definitely my kid! I would ask Oliver to find a specific color and then have him put it in the bin. We played with their name letters and I helped Lincoln spell his name. They played with Dave and Lincoln wanted to see how fast he could identify the letters and shapes. They continued to play with their toys for a bit and then I think it was almost 9pm when they had to go home. I love getting my hugs and kisses before they leave. Oh I have to add, I love Lincoln's comments when he comes here. When I get out of bed for a minute Lincoln looks at me and says, "mommy whey are you out of your bed, get back to bed" and last night as they were getting ready to leave he looks at me and says, "we are going to go home now, but you have to stay in the hospipal". Such a sweetheart!

I'm continuing to remain stable and the baby monitoring is looking excellent! The nurses always comment how great his heart rate is for being so little still...I love hearing that! Another really good day!

Tuesday (6/3/14)
Today was a pretty boring day to say the least! The good news is that there were no changes with the baby so that was good. I took a nap, I ate, did some physical therapy workouts, talked to my mom, Misty and Dave. I also read and watched lots of TV. I missed my boys today and that's probably what stands out the most from my day. Good news is I get to see them tomorrow!
